Press Release March 9th 2021
As of today, Swedish MedTech companies with an appetite for the US market will get the opportunity to join MedTech Bridge as it expands its range of members from Danish companies to opening its membership to Nordic medtech companies.
Swedish Medtech is now in a partnership with the MedTech Bridge, enabling Swedish MedTech companies to be connected with top US players in the world’s biggest MedTech hub, Medical Alley, Minnesota.
Similarly to MedTech Bridge founding partner, Medicoindustrien, Swedish MedTech is the Association for Medical Technology in Sweden with approximately 180 member companies.

"We believe that MTB is the type of pragmatic and goal-oriented program that can provide great opportunities for young and ambitious medical device and digital health companies to realize their potential on the American market. We look forward to joining forces with MedTech Bridge and our sister organization in Denmark to aid our thriving sector." - Anna Lefevre Skjöldebrand, Swedish Medtech CEO
The purpose of the collaboration with Swedish medtech is to continue to reduce these barriers that we know Nordic medical device and digital health companies encounter when they seek to succeed in the world’s largest medical technology market, the US. Uncertainties about the regulatory pathway, reimbursement, and a general understanding of the dynamics of the US healthcare system, are among the biggest barriers Nordic companies face.
"We are thrilled about the partnership with Swedish MedTech and look forward to now also welcoming Swedish MedTech companies into our Nordic community of companies wanting to enter the US market." - Programme Manager at MedTech Bridge, Kristina Jensen.
MedTech Bridge identifies and caters to the individual Nordic company’s needs through connectivity. With hubs in Denmark and the US, The MedTech Bridge is perfectly positioned to enable fast-track connections to the #1 health tech cluster in the world, Medical Alley in Minnesota.
